I believe u/humitastic is right that it’s liverwort.
Either way, this plant is not like broadleaf weeds. It lacks a vascular system, meaning it’s closer to moss than it is to broadleafs.
So… Herbicides won’t be particularly effective.
I think this is Liverwort. Tough to control. You might try hitting it with a weed burner or torch.

That would be liverwort. And as far as getting rid of it just a light dusting of baking soda and it will die immediately.

What else can sodium bicarbonate get rid of? Is it same for normal grass?
@Ainsley
I’ve found that it is harmless to other plants but just a small amount is deadly to liverwort.
@Ainsley
Heartburn… it gets rid of heartburn.
@Ainsley
I’ve been told sodium bicarbonate can kill crabgrass.

Just bought a 3lb bag of the stuff to try!
I found that the reason roundup never worked for me was because they try to tell you that you are buying more than you are.
The dilution ratio of 1oz per gallon does absolutely nothing. Double it and it kills Bermuda, Carolina creeper, that bamboo vine… everything I spray it on is dead the next day.
@Alton
Most people think it’s overnight, glyphosate takes like 7 to 10 days before you see it start dying. It’s why you should just pick or burn if you want it gone immediately.

Nah I tried that… waiting 2 weeks to see if it worked is a no bueno.
@Alton
I’m with you on this. I’ve started doubling up on glyphosate concentration and it has worked wonders. That being said, I also try to find the concentrate on sale just so I can have a little extra on hand.
@Alton
It’s also that it’s not soil active. So it only kills plants that it absorbs into their leaves, once they die, it quits working. To prevent weeds from growing back, you need to use glyphosate with a pre-emergent. But that doesn’t work on perennials that spread by stolons, like Bermuda grass.
@Alton
Pay close attention to what is actually on the label of roundup… Is it triclopyr and dicamba, or is it glyphosate and diquat dibromide?
P.s.
> it kills bermuda,
No it doesn’t. Sure, it might have a burn down effect, but at 2oz/gallon of any roundup product, you’re not going to be killing bermuda for good.
@Alton
Hell, my 41% jug says to use 2.5 ounces per 1 gallon.

The one I have has dilution ratio on like page 3875 in the booklet. It’s sort of a table with different applications. The highest being 1oz per gallon.

Every bottle I’ve purchased, brand name and not, has been 3oz/gallon 1k/sf. Not sure where that person found something stating 1/oz gallon.
