Anything I can simply spray on my whole lawn to help?

Popping up sporadically. Any help is appreciated.

Help with what?

Fertilizing? Weed control? Soil conditioning? Killing grubs?

If you’re trying to kill the clover, dicamba.

Kill whatever this is on my lawn without harming my lawn. Sorry for not being specific.

@Nico
Your home improvement store will have some weed spray that has a 95% chance of not killing the grass. I would pick up some seed too so you can overseed in two or three days when the weeds are dead.

@Nico
Clover guy above says dicamba is probably a very good option. It will kill clover while your grass continues to grow and needs water.

@Nico
Don’t say sorry—lol—you have a very clear, up-close photo of clover and say ‘popping up sporadically’, so your intent is pretty clear.

I’ve had success with Ortho Weed Clear (2,4-D). You attach it to your garden hose and can spray the entire lawn.

Good luck!

@Nico
I’d go with top shot herbicide.

You could try living with the clover.

Best recommendation. It adds a lot of nitrogen to the dirt and ends up being very beneficial. If you have too much clover, just encourage your desired grass to compete.

@Kelly
Where does clover get nitrogen from?

Internal processes. It makes it.

@Kelly
Good for pollinators too, if I recall.

This guy wants it dead while I’m over here spreading clover seed all over the place to drown out the grass. What a world.

I would consider aerating and seeding. Give the grass time to crowd out the weeds, then apply a strong treatment.

What lawn.

Learn to love the clover; it’s nitrogen-fixing, so it feeds your grass, and during a drought, the clover stays green, making your lawn look better.
