Mulching is helpful; just be patient. It might take multiple trips. I also highly recommend using something like this. We invested in one a few months back, and it has been really beneficial. Put a good layer under each tree’s drip zone without piling up against the trees.
Mulch the rest. Compost some or make leaf mold. Check out /r/composting for more tips.
Run over them with your lawn mower!
Do whatever you can to make sure those leaves get back into the soil. Mulch as much as you can (it’ll make raking easier), but there will come a point where you can’t just pile more leaves on the grass.
The goal is to keep the grass clear over the winter, but then spread those leaves out again to return nutrients to the soil, especially if your soil lacks organic matter.
Composting is a great start. Or if you feel adventurous and safe, dig a pit and burn them in batches with some soil mixed in to create homemade biochar.
But yeah, I’d compost as much as possible and mix that into the lawn in the spring; it can make a great seed cover if you’re seeding or act as a soil amendment otherwise.
Just mow them for like 3 weeks in a row. That’s all it takes.
I set up my mower for mulching, and it went through the leaves easily. I probably have more space around my maple though. You might be surprised at a real mulching setup.

I agree! This and a 32-gallon can with wheels are great for reducing leaves bags.
You could wait until all the leaves fall and just hire someone to clean it up.
I mulch the leaves and then use my tow-behind sweeper. What doesn’t mulch well gets scooped up, and the sweeper leaves enough behind that it’s still useful but doesn’t create dead spots in the spring.
Mow them.
Mulch mow right into the grass. If you have a ride-on mower, even better. Going in reverse really mixes it well with the grass blades once it’s chopped up. If you end up with too much mulched up, you can blow or rake the extra in spring. I started this a decade ago, and my grass is thick and green.
Look at all that potential compost!
Mulch weekly during the busiest season, then biweekly once most have fallen.
Mulch it and use it in your yard or sell the mulch.
Just blow them to the front the day of the township’s pickup.
Get a husband or have kids.
Cut down the trees.
