We’re currently in a stage yes drought. I’m only allowed to water once a week for 2 hours. Is there anything I can do to get a little green back in it?

Spray paint
They do this in Florida on the golf courses
Xeriscape with green aquarium pebbles?
Not sure there’s anything bringing that back.
Grass type and location are required for any real help. The dog isn’t helping judging by how matted down it is.
Dethatch and aerate is the only way.

Dethatch, overseed, aerate, and water.
Xeriscape with drip line plantings. Artificial turf area for some green. Train pup to do its business in a rock area as artificial turf will otherwise need to be regularly cleaned.

That honestly looks fun to revive.
I think it’ll be hard to bring this back from dormancy with only one watering a week. I’d recommend switching the lawn to a drought-tolerant grass like Bermuda or fescue as they will stay green much more easily with much less water.
@Jai
Fescue, drought-tolerant? First I’ve heard of that. Fescue is the most thirsty grass you can have - especially if you’re living in, or south of, the transition zone.

Where I am it’s Kentucky bluegrass everywhere, so I’d take the fescue (specifically dwarf fescue) any day.
Best bet is to match the rest of the “lawn” to that black spot. The one with a little bit of brown and some white, and of course the eyes…
Brown is the new green. Is my thinking when SoCal has extra tight restrictions. I also ditched a water-thirsty fescue lawn and letting the once ‘weed’ Bermuda slowly take over the area again.
I will never financially recover from this.
