Nice. TTTF?
I seeded with the Blue Resilience blend, which is both TTTF and KBG. I think there were at least four kinds of existing grass.

How long did it take to germinate for you?
@Han
I noticed germination in six days. I don’t know what ‘normal’ is, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll definitely use the same seed next year for my backyard.

Thanks. I’m looking to fill in some bare spots from some work I had done in the yard and need something with a fast germination time this late in the season, ha. I have a bag on the way.
@Han
I think the KBG in the mix takes longer, but the TTTF should do the trick!

Yeah, it definitely will. I overseeded with Total Eclipse four weeks ago, and it’s painfully slow progress, haha.

When did you seed? I did my lawn renovation with the same blend, and mine is not as full as yours. I seeded on September 7, but had those weeks of hot temperatures and drought.
@Zion
I seeded on September 2 and watered aggressively during the dry heat we had here in the northeast. What rate did you seed at? I seeded at the maximum recommended overseed rate and then threw down a couple of pounds extra for good measure.
@Flint
I seeded at about eight per 1k. I was coming from a complete nuke job, though. I watered for 10 minutes about four times a day. Part of my lawn would dry out almost immediately. I’ll put some more seed down this week as the temperatures are dropping and the soil temps will be under 65 now. I also didn’t do any top dressing, which probably hurt, but I was seeding 7k sq ft.
@Zion
You can check your local soil temperatures here.

You started your lawn renovation by sand leveling?

I used a mix of sand, topsoil, and compost. I filled a hole where I dug out a tree and leveled it.
Did you overseed first and level afterward, or the other way around? If you leveled first, did you still put dirt over your seed?

I leveled first and then overseeded. I scattered some leftover dirt/sand/compost around the yard and then raked in the seed. I probably should have covered the seed a little more.
