They range from 3 feet to 2 feet. We put them all at 2 feet, let them cure a week, then poured a sidewalk over them along the side of the house. The fence is about 5 feet tall at the front and 6 feet tall past where the sidewalk ends.

I haven’t finished the wood. We are using 5/4 x 6 S4S. So decking, just over an inch thick, sanded on both sides, and all edges are rounded. Looks slick. This is similar: 5/4 x 6 x 8ft S4S Cedar Deck Board - In Stock at Closeout Prices

My brother used normal fence and it looks good but I don’t like the rough cut personally.
