I pay a guy $75 now. I used to do it myself for years until a buddy recommended his guy to me.
I went through the trouble of renting the machine once and said never again. Now I’ve got a guy who handles it every year for me.

In KC, I reached out to a few places for my 6,000 sq ft lawn and got quoted $140. Ended up renting from HD and did 3 passes in a couple of hours.
I rented from Home Depot too and had to call a friend to load it up for me. Never again.
That’s a good deal! I couldn’t find anyone under $200 for my 18,000 sq ft lawn. One company even quoted over $500!
Rented from Home Depot and got help loading it up, but getting it out with my wife’s help was a whole different story. Would totally pay what you did if I found a deal like that.
Same here. I’m never aerating my lawn by myself again.
It’s always a good idea to hire someone if you don’t have the time or energy to do it yourself. I usually buy tools if I know I’ll use them more than once.
I just wait for a good rain to loosen things up and go from there.
