When should I cut back on watering?

I always water once a day for two weeks after seeding. The last few weeks have been in the mid-80s here, and the grass is growing well.

I set my irrigation to wet the ground lightly a few times a day, just enough for germination. Then, I slowly back off as the grass grows. Now that it’s getting cooler, I’ll switch to longer, less frequent watering sessions, maybe even letting my smart system take over.

Moss can absorb water and hold onto it, and it’s used in some cities in Japan and Berlin to help with floods.
