I’ve looked up lever, drive lever, etc. I can’t find it on Home Depot or Amazon. It’s the yellow lever that engages the drive, snapped from holding it with one hand constantly. Sheesh.
Can you share the make/model of your mower?

So you can learn the secrets:
-
look up model number.
-
Google “[model number] parts.”
-
do some browsing and find a site with diagrams labeled with part numbers.
Once you have the part number, you can Google that and look at your options. Half of the parts websites always look like scams (including that one I linked now that I look at it), so look at options before buying something sketchy. You can also take that part number and call Dewalt.
@Avery
Wish more people did this. It’s really not difficult to do.
You can very likely get this repaired for less than the new part will cost. Many small engine repair shops have welding capabilities and this will be good as new for $20. Just an idea in case it wasn’t considered.
@Luca
Oh good point, I’ll take it to a local place and see what they can do for it. I appreciate the input.

I’m assuming it’s bent and therefore loose in the handle? It looks as though it doesn’t have anything retaining it on the outsides? Opposite side to the cable push yellow piece towards center to remove it from the handle. Stretch the yellow piece about 4-5 inches to bend it wider than the main handle while holding the cable side still engaged in the main handle. Next push the yellow piece back towards center just enough to allow other prong to engage back into main handle.
@Paden
It’s snapped on the right side. I have it held together with electrical tape and a splint. It falls out of place constantly, so the temporary fix has become a nuisance. I really need to replace it or get it welded I guess. I am curious what this part is called though, I can’t find it anywhere.
@Blane
If it’s spring steel, it can’t be welded, but if not, anyone (neighbor or friend even) who owns a welder could fix this easy or fabricate a new one. I suppose it all depends on how hard it is to track down a new one and how much it costs. New part may be the better option.
@Paden
Good point, I wish I could figure out what this is called.
@Sage
It’s just the lever, the line is good to go.
