Surprising Results with Scott’s Weed and Feed

Hey guyz,

I wanted to share my experience with Scott’s Weed and Feed. My lawn was a disaster this summer, overrun with all sorts of weeds. I needed a solution that could tackle the entire lawn, and after hearing mixed reviews, I decided to give Scott’s Weed and Feed a try since it was on sale at Costco.

Honestly, I didn’t expect much, but the results have been amazing! Check out the photos below. The top one is from August 2nd, and the bottom one is from September 10th. The difference is incredible!

Has anyone else had similar success with this product? Or maybe some tips on maintaining these results?

Feel free to tweak it as needed! How did your lawn turn out?

Yo, is it true we can’t use this stuff on St. Augustine grass? I’ve been dying to get rid of those pesky weeds.

Yeah, the packaging says DO NOT use on St. Augustine grass

That’s fantastic to hear! It’s always great when a product exceeds expectations

That’s a bummer! Spurge and goat heads can be really stubborn. Sometimes, specific weeds need targeted treatments. Have you tried any other products or methods that worked better for those pesky weeds? Maybe we can brainstorm some new strategies together! :seedling:

Not gonna lie. I’m surprised that you’re surprised that a product you bought did what it was supposed to do. I had a sandwich for lunch and SURPRISE I wasn’t hungry anymore.

Does this work against dandelions?

So, do you gotta yank the weeds out after they die back, or can you just let 'em rot away? I’m new to this too and dealing with the same broadleaf drama in my lawn.

Nice… I hit my lawn with Scott’s Triple Action in the spring to keep crabgrass at bay, then switch to the regular weed and feed as fall rolls in. Works like a charm…no weeds in sight all season… :seedling::muscle:

Scots can be hit and miss this year I got one of their seed bags and for the life of me could not get them to take it. I just had a few spots of grass poke up.

In the end, it’s not really about the product itself, but how you use it and the conditions around it. The active ingredients have been the same for decades, maybe even a century.
