Amazing how different prices are around the country. Same situation at my Lowe’s but the fertilizer is already gone. Two pallets of preemergent left though. It’s NOT in their inventory online though.

Absolutely mind blown! I feel bad, we buy direct from manufacturer here in NJ by the pallet and complain about $20 a bag.

You still need to fertilize your yard. Feeding grass is how you make it spread faster.

Easiest thing for a beginner is get a weed and feed which helps feed your lawn and also kill existing weeds. It won’t be the best at either one but it’s better than doing nothing. Pre-emergent prevents weeds, post emergent kills existing weeds. Put pre-emergent down in very early spring.

My Lowe’s is showing $49 for the 007. But, one thing I do is buy pre-emergent and fert during the dead of winter at a discount for the year.
