I think I take decent care of my lawn, though I could probably do more. This dead patch keeps getting bigger, even though I water it regularly. Could it be sick? Maybe some kind of infection or parasite? Thanks
Drown the area with water. If there are grubs, they will come to the surface.

@Darin
He’s okay. You would see a bunch of African Black Beetles or Fall Army Worms if you had a problem.

Ok, cheers for the help! Maybe something else then.

What has your weather been like? What is your watering schedule?
It appears to be grub/beetle damage to me. But I’d recommend waiting for the experts to weigh in.

Do you have a close-up picture?

If you look closely at the leaves, they are yellowing, discolored, and some have small black lesions. All indicative of disease. Cut back on the watering for starters and apply a fungicide.
@Indie
Thanks, I’ll give that a try.
