First Year Putting Effort into My Lawn — Happy with the Results

This was my first year really focusing on my lawn, and I managed to get everything done just before the rains from Hurricane Helene hit. The steady rain for the first week was a lifesaver and definitely helped with the water bill!

I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, so I thought I’d share the progress here. If anyone’s interested in the details of what I did, I’m happy to type it all out in case it helps someone else.

I must be doing something wrong cause I’m at almost a month and don’t have that going on at all lol.

Was thinking the same. How did he get so much growth that fast?

No rain here either other than that first week. RIP water bill :cry:.

Not your responsibility but the grass strip coming through between the road and the curb is bothering me.

Lawn looks great though!

Yeah, it bothers me too. I keep killing it, and it keeps coming back.

@Archer
Just pull them! I’ve done it before. Get a knee pad, a hand weeding pool, put up a cone so people see you in the road and pull them. Then spray the area with round up.

@Archer
Try some 30% vinegar in a 2 gallon pump sprayer and really soak the base of the grass to get the vinegar into the roots.

Looks like you laid sod.
