I’ll be blowing leaves in my lawn or weed whacking and then all of a sudden the blower will turn off cause the cord fell out of the outlet. It usually happens when I’m 40 feet away from the outlet and am running out of cable. it’s annoying cause then I’ll have to walk back to the outlet, plug it in again, and then return to the leaf blower. does this happen to you guys as well?
Loop the extension cord around something heavy or immovable - like a gate finial or a bench vise. Or put something heavy on the cord, a cinder block or a car tire.

gotchu. does this happen to you as well?
@Luca
Not in a long time since I started tying my cords to something
No, because I use a battery operated leaf blower. Who the heck uses a plug in style leaf blower/weed wacker? That seems extremely impractical.

I do, its crazy powerful and was only like $60. Remember, outlets are 120v. Yes, it’s horribly inconvenient to drag the cord and be bound to an outlet. And I had to buy an additional 75’ 14 gauge extension cord to reach where I need it to without debilitating voltage drop. But it would’ve been easily $300 or more to get a comparably strong gas or battery powered blower. And I already dump like 25% of my income on… Lawn science, basically.
@Clovis
And you don’t have to charge the grid every 20 minutes when you’re blowing on “turbo”…

True, all the benefits of the low maintenance you get with electric, without the charge capacity and life span of batteries. Really don’t want to understate how damn inconvenient the cord is… But besides the cord, it’s overwhelmingly positive.
You know what, the same thing happens when all the fuel is gone from my tank!

Get a cordless, rechargeable line trimmer and blower. They are fantastic now.
Here’s a fun story, my dad used to have a plug in mower, weed Wacker and blower. He plugged them into the front of the house as that’s the only place we had an outlet, so naturally as he’s mowing the back or side of the house he lost sight of the plug. My brother and I, the shit disturbers we are, used to trip the GFCI over and over and we would laugh our little dicks off hearing our dad lose his fucking shit… one time he threw the mower out of rage because we did it so many times. Fast forward a month he figured out what we were up to or our mom gave him the head up… the old bastards zip ties the trigger on the blower and ran in the house through the back door, me and my brother didn’t realize and we tripped the GFCI. We were caught red handed and got the shit beaten out of us with an extension cord. Still worth it, even though my brother still has loss of movement in his neck because of it… Anyway, corded mowers and blowers they’re old school go cordless amigo
@Harley
Bruh wtf. Your dad permanently injured your brother because of a harmless prank?

Right? Crazy. Gas blowers only!

same people who use a corded lawn mower and corded snow blower.

They probably could blow the snow by mouth and cut their lawns with scissors…

It’s strictly for air drying things and blowing out the computer case

Stihl battery-operated leaf blower has decent power.
