I believe unless we’re trying to make stripes that’s the golden technique we all use, wander mindlessly till the job is done,

That’s the way to do it when mulching leaves, and a lotta folks like that for side shooting too.

If you want larger stripes there are a number of YouTube videos out there where people make homemade striping kits. I just cut a rubber floor mat and screwed it to the back of one of my old mowers. I have two commercial units now and both stripe great without any mods. I’ve seen guys that rig something up with a PVC tube filled with sand and a few bolts that stripes like a baseball field.

Always killer to see stripes no matter where you are on the perimeter. My favorite honestly.
