Thanks for the info! I seeded, but it rained a lot, so I want to add more seed. How do you deal with different grass heights from old and new seeds?
Can you share your process? I may not have time this fall (zone 7), but I’ll make notes for spring. Did you add soil over healthy grass too?
Overseeding didn’t work for me. The dry weather here in the Northeast meant my watering wasn’t enough, and fertilizer killed some areas. Not good at all.
Nice lawn! Ours is crazy—I’m in Canada and we keep getting these mushrooms that look like… well, let’s just say they look like something inappropriate before they fully grow. Mother Nature’s joke, I guess. Should’ve taken some pics before pulling them up!

It’s even funnier when you think about it—the mushroom is just the reproductive part of the fungus, shooting out spores.
